Are there people who have returned

considering all the consequences of leaving the organization (especially the loss of family), some who have already known ttat have decided to return and continue with the flow just to keep their families and friend.. my question is if anyone here had tried it and how they have been managing living a lie constantly day-after-day?, as i am seriously considering returnning back to the full routine..

I get where your coming from. But remember the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. There is not one religion on this earth that knows the bible completely. However, what if there was something closer to the bible than what you were ever taught. Would you be willing to learn and share it through questioning your family and friends? If your going back because of family and friends then your going back to please them and not yourself. But if your going back because of the religion then your committing a grave sin knowing TTATT. Maybe our technique of telling our loved ones about what we've learned about their religion was done wrong. You know they will take offence if you show them things like misquotes but what if you could challenge them by questioning their knowledge of the bible? Teachings society never taught like why did Jesus keep all the feasts, festivals and Sabbaths right up to when he was killed. If it were to be done away with then why did Mary and the others have to get ready for the Sabbath after he died? Why was Paul keeping them? We've learned a lot through studying other topics that society doesn't want to teach. Did you ever think that Yehovah is guiding you in another direction to getting to know him. Doors will open if your willing to knock. And just maybe you can open up your family and friends minds as well. Leave what you've learned about TTATT for a much later date to tell them. Start reading your bible. Look up some really good teachers on the internet. Test to see if their teachings originate with Yehovah's. We found some really good teachers to listen to that would blow society's teachings right out of the waters. It was becoming easier and easier to never look back when we have so much to look forward to and yes what we listen to agrees with almost everything society teaches but didn't know there was way more to learn that society doesn't teach. It's your choice if you want to go back but will you really be happy? How sad to be hanging out with friends and having to agree with them on whatever they say about their golden calf, the governing body. For witnesses never talk the bible when they are together hanging out or in a car group. This religion venerates creature worship and a whole lot of label licking. Jesus taught against that kind of worship. PM me if you want a list of what we listen to. You will learn new things and will be exited to tell others what they were never taught. And it's all really good. Take from it what you want as long as it comes from the bible which it does. And these men don't pluck a scripture and twist it into their doctrine. They take in the WHOLE context(scriptures before and after) of a scripture, meanings and the cultures back then. Nothing like what we've ever been taught before. Scriptures are a lot easier to understand when you've learned some of the cultural roots back then. Only then you start to understand the knowledge of Yehovah's wisdom:) Don't knock it until you've tried it. You won't go hungry that's for sure and then you be the judge and match what you've learned to the JWs. It will disgust you on how society dummied us all down. Any scripture they use is towards themselves. They'll even take the old testament and every scripture seems to be about them. Too bad they didn't follow the way a judicial committee was set up back then and too bad they don't follow even the new testaments rules on how NOT to form a tribunal against someone but to leave the judging to Jesus when he comes again.(I looked up tribunals in other bibles and it's not there. Human courts is so these guys felt it was ok to add that. Back in OT the people were gathered at the gates of the community along with the older men. They were allowed to have their accusers there as well. The community would listen to both sides and decide who was lying) There's just so many things wrong scripturally with the way society has set things up that goes against my conscience. Along with what we've learned here we know now we're on the narrow road. Religion is the broad road! Religion is just an excuse to abuse people. Wishing you the best on your journey. the conections they make between the old and new testaments are really interesting.

the changes supposedly made by christ are shown to be clarifications of what the original intent of the law was and in no way were they to be changed.

The feasts, festivals and sabbaths is what opened my eyes. Jesus kept them right up till his death and the others kept them right to the end. Look at when Mary had to get ready for the sabbath after Jesus died. If Jesus had done away with it then why did she and the others keep it. How in Zechariah chapter 14 states we will be keeping the festival of booths in the millinium. Why was Paul keeping feasts(Acts 18:20,21) years later and yet society takes one whole sentence out of their NWT to suit their doctrine. Then they say that he probable had made a vow and had to keep it before becoming a christian. Ok, but this was done roughly fifteen years later. He was keeping it yearly. Are we allowed to celebrate Christmas after becoming JWs saying that we had to keep it for we had made it a vow before we came into the religion. What would society say to that excuse?

Why through out the OT Yehovah is telling them to keep HIS apppointed times throughout the generations to TIME INDEFINITE. Didn't the word time indefinite have the same meaning when Yehovah said that was his name to time indefinite? The greek scriptures show Jesus doing it. Jesus came to teach. The people were going beyond what Yehovah's laws stated and adding to them, making them burdensome like ALL religions today.

When I started learning the feasts, festivals and sabbaths then you see how the seven trumpets come into play. They are all intertwined with deep meanings that are easy to understand. But when your told the seven trumpets represent jw conventions, umm, DUH! Yet society never touched on that aspect of teaching. How sad. I guess they couldn't write that in to somehow worshiping them. God forbid if they were to keep the sabbath( from Friday sundown to Sat sundown) which was spending a whole day relaxing with your family and worshiping him but instead get out on Sat and peddle their crap is more important. Yehovah didn't make it burdensome but man did!

we all were told, even in these stupid songs we sang at the kingdom hall that our brothers would die for us because they loved us so much!

they had the love of jesus christ so deep, they would do anything to make sure we stayed aboard the patterson ark.. .

now i can't create a fancy time-line like the july 15, 2013 watchtower that shows all those cool pictures and charts.

It's been a year now and still no one. As a matter of fact, close friends of ours have gotton three shepherding visits all within a month. They've been in it for over thirty-five years and never a shepherds visit. The last visit was pure harassment. The elders told them and a few others not to associate with us. That it's ok to say hello if we're seen on the streets but that's it. No official announcement from the platform but that we're questioning the fds. We're just waiting for their next move and we will start the ball rolling. They've also been going to our last hall we were in ten years ago to find out why we left. The gossip is disgusting. I hope society is reading this to see how their teaching techniques for the elders school are absolutely childish. The problem with this elder body is they have all sponged off their parents all their lives and now in their forties are still having their butts wiped. They won't pioneer and at the most work part time if that. How sad it's a bunch of delinquents with emotional problems that determine who can talk to you and who can't. Surely there's gotta be someone in the congregation with half a brain that notices they are having their free will taken away from them.

Is WTBTS really imitating the first century apostles? Or could they just be copying something far closer to home?

that's what i usually asked myself.

i just couldn't imagine the apostles having to lug a heavy bag of literature door to door like we did.

Can't help think of the good samiritan who had no strings attatched when helping that person. He didn't have any tracts and he didn't say you have to come to my synogogue. He just did a good deed and was counted worthy in one of the parables that Jesus gave. It was the priest and the levite who wouldn't do anything for that person. On top he even paid the guys debt at the inn. Not expecting anything in return. Describeing what a good neighbor should be. THAT IS WHAT IS IN THE BIBLE I READ

When a JW goes to the door they either want a study and you to start coming to the meetings and then can you do more like RBC, Bethel, foreign territory, pioneer, special pioneer, missionary, learn another language and go to another country, hall builds, hall renoes, pay for yours and the other peoples literature, donate your time, gas, ect,,,, and the list never ends AND YOU ARE NEVER DOING ENOUGH IN THE ORG! THAT IS WHAT IS IN THEIR BIBLE

7 million Jehovah's Witnesses wasting 10 hours every month

what if.... what if jehovah's witnesses spent their 70 million hours on something better than cartoon theology distribution?.

would this world be better served by:.

1.feeding the hungry?.

Like one elder said to us while we were studying with him was to give to the poor accomplishes nothing but just prolongs the suffering in satans world. Coming from an idiot who has all the young pioneers doteing over his family and studying with his kids who want nothing to do with the religion. He's the very one that sat infront of his kids saying how he hates service and doesn't go out much. So don't help the poor and don't share the bible but thinks just for himself.

for the past ooh, 3-4 hrs, neighbours dog has been barking non-stop, literally.. grrrrrrrr.. this is getting to be a regulat thing.

We had the same problem years ago. Hubby walked over to the owners and all they said was are you here for the dog? They let him have it and it was taken care of. The poor thing had no life tied up to a post on a three foot chain. As well, he had overgrown his metal collar and it was cutting into his neck. The dog was old and we had enough. You gotta love those mennonites. Their the same family that would spray OFF fly spray into their horses eyes and the animals would go nuts.

good morning all,.

i have had the opportunity over the last couple of years to speak with a couple of jw's who had either attended the same congregation i did or were married to someone who to the same one.

for the record, i disassociated myself in 1992 due to being followed around by an elder or two who had heard that i had ray franz's "crisis of conscience" in my possession.

1. The reason why we left the last hall was because we were questioning the fds.

2. We're apostates and are reading apostate material.

3. We are marked but it's ok to say hi on the streets that we're not disassociated of df'd YET.

4. Others that are seen talking to us are questioned as to what we are talking about. I was seen talking to a brother outside a store in broad daylight and two elders approached the guys wife while he was at work telling her that we were seen together alone. She told them she didn't want to hear the gossip. Pretty disgusting if you ask me but we're the ones accused of being critical thinkers and negative.

The "friends" were too busy label licking the nucleus of the congregation (elders, ms, pioneers, ect) to take notice of this family.

In our last hall, no one knows till this day that there is a family of three young girls and their mother who are homeless. Finally a family took them in that ARE NOT jws. When they lost their home, it was the community that pulled together and helped them move. We did offer to help them but they were afraid of the gossip that would go around in the halls. ( I assure you, not from us)

Sometimes the not so popular families are forced into situations that might be beyond their control especially if there's mental illnesses. Then,if your constantly told your not doing enough and to focus on the ministry something or someone is bound to be neglected. How many on this site didn't have to focus on the org and give something up in the process?????? Possibly not realiseing you were neglecting or depriveing someone in the family of an education or some family fun or sports ect,,, Maybe taking a yearold child out in sevice all day in a sweltering 35 celcius car and he's balling most of the day and sleeping the rest with at least one throw-up due to heat exhaustion.

We just don't know what this couple was thinking but being in this religion, we have seen too much. Only god knows for sure and will make it right one day.

IS YOUR TEACHING UP-TO-DATE? - (WT Study Article for June 3-9, 2013)

in the watchtower study article for last week, june 3rd - 9th, 2013, the congregation was asked the question, "is your teaching up-to-date?".

there was a box on the top of page 9 that asked three questions allowing everyone to test themselves and find out if they had "up-to-date" and "accurate knowledge" in keeping with the "the ever-increasing light" as revealed through the pages of the watchtower magazine and related publications.

now at first blush this all sounds really good, but is it?

I smell a rat! If the householders can't see answers beyond 2000 then society is hoping that they will ask or phone into bethel what does the 1995 watchtower say. Then bethel will send someone out with the info. And BAM! The householder will not be able to get rid of them.

In other words, a new deceptive way to snare.
